So how cool is that. A bunch of young artists in a poor neighborhood do an environmental art project – they send a letter and a picture of their artwork to the President of the United States (read my earlier blogs) – and the leader of the Free World writes them back! OK, so maybe he didn’t put aside the Mid East peace talks to personally compose this letter, but the kids were not ignored. I am so proud of my class for following through and making this happen.
