Tangled Daydreams

While sitting on a bench in Selby Gardens, Sarasota, my gaze fastened on the roots of a Banyan tree. It reminded me of some of my daydreams – the ones that get out of control, all twisted and tangly, like snakes turning in on themselves.

“Active Daydreaming” is important to me as an artist because it helps me work out visual solutions. It’s only when I allow fears and self-doubt to intrude that my daydreams get tangled. Believe you are a special person. Believe you are capable of making good choices. Believe that life is a process you can trust.
