There’s an old cracker legend that in mid-summer, when the conditions at sunset are just right, you’ll see a brilliant green flash just seconds before the sun slips below the horizon. I’ve been watching for it for years, and I’ve never seen it – but then I’m not a cracker. Nonetheless, the subtropical sunsets of this state are spectacular – and I actually had to add green pigment to my paint to capture the right impression. So maybe there’s something to this green flash after all? Hmmmmm….
